Which Business Plans service would suit my needs?

That depends on who the intended reader of the plan is, your budget and any time constraints. All our services involve our consultants helping customers with our consultants doing all the work.
It also depends on how much work a customer wants to do themselves and how much they want us to do.

Can I upgrade from one Business Plans service to the next?

Yes. BusinessPlans has an Upgrade Policy for all business plan services whereby we credit the fee paid for a business planning service when upgrading to the next level of business planning service. Sometimes, a customer may do a 48 Hour BusinessPlan for finance investor then graduate to an Executive B Plan once finance is approved to help with strategy planning.

We don't want to 'overkill' a business plan rather, give the reader an adequate level of information needed to make their decision.

How much does a business plan cost?

We do pretty well reflecting our mission - "To provide all Australian businesses with business planning resources irrespective of budget and skill set."

All business plan services are designed so that clients can pick and choose the level of involvement they want from our Consultants

Customers pick the price point they're comfortable with but we'd challenge anyone to find a business planning service where they can get 'someone' to help them for under $300..

Budget requirements to use our services:

$9.90 = Australian templates

$37.90 = Industry business plans and franchise business plans - these are actual business plans

$49.50 = Monthly Help Desk support - a trained Consultant to speak with as you need them that doesn't cost the earth like most business coaching does.

$275 = Have your financial projections professionally completed or take advantage of our 7 day help desk service.

$495 +gst = 48 Hour BusinessPlan which we do for the customer and produce a 10 page business plan. There are upgrade options for Market Research and 1 year Cash flow and P&L statement which cost $195 +gst each..

$1800 +gst = Executive B Plan where a Senior Consultant offers a degree of strategic help.

Grand Plans are a POA service where the project requires thorough scoping prior to quoting. We find others only offer POA type services but we like to offer transparent clear pricing and service parameters so customers know what they're paying and what they're getting prior to commencing.

Do you assist in the implementation of the business plan?

Yes, we can do this for all customer sizes and types.

Smaller businesses may use our KPI Tracker service where we introduce the concept of ongoing business planning with a monthly report and consultation.

Larger businesses often ask us to help implement their business plan. Typically we would have completed a Grand Plan (largest level of service) first and overlay key performance indicators that we follow up on every quarter or even month.

Should I use a template to complete my business plan?

It depends who customers are writing the plan for. If it is for their own use, then templates are fine. If customers intend to give the plan to someone else to read, we suggest getting some level of professional help. If the reader is a bank manager, investor, etc, they are used to getting professional plans.

By providing them with a professional plan, customers are not only making their job easier but their plan has a better chance of having critical detail included that a professional will pick up on and include in the plan.

A business plan needs to be a well balanced document. If customers follow templates and fill in content under specific headings, typically they don't stand back and look at it from the bank's perspective to ask does this document, on balance, support a loan for the amount they're seeking. This is what we as professionals do.
